Scoop calls its repositories "buckets". 
There are, indeed, multiple ones and it is easy to create your own. 
Only one bucket is available by default, the "main" Scoop bucket. 
Scoop is primarily intended for managing command-line utilities, 
and that's the type of applications one can get from the main bucket.

A bucket is a git repository consisting mainly of a bunch of JSON files 
- one JSON for every app that is in the respective bucket.
